Job summary

Woolworths Group on the Gold Coast is offering a Permanent, full-time Apprenticeship for a Certificate III in Retail Baking (Bread). You’ll be trained to produce and bake a variety of breads over a 3-year program, with on-the-job and off-the-job TAfe classes.

You'll join an engaging team, learn hands-on skills, attend all classes, and work toward becoming a qualified Retail Baker while contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Evidence of interest in learning bakery trade and ability to work with others.
• Ability to adapt to change and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to attend TAFe classes and complete assessments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers while following safety policies.
• Learn to produce and bake a variety of breads using bakery equipment.
• Attend all TAFE classes and complete assessments.

About the role

Bringing bread to life, you’ll enjoy the support to prove your passion and learn your craft.

You will complete an Apprenticeship - Certificate III in Retail Baking (Bread) and be trained on how to produce and bake a variety of breads using baking equipment and machinery over a 3 year period.

What you'll do

• Greet, acknowledge, show care and thank our customers for shopping at Woolies
• Stick to our policies and procedures to ensure we keep ourselves, each other and our customers safe including looking out for and reporting any hazards
• Work with a diverse range of people in an industry facing rapid change, you’ll gain real-world experience and grow as a person
• Learn the skills and gain experience to become a qualified Retail Baker
• Complete the 3 years with on and off-the-job training
• Attend all TAFE classes and complete all assessments
• Practice on the job
