Job summary

Amazon Australia’s Computer Vision team is seeking a PhD‑level scientist to develop scalable ML and computer vision solutions for fresh monitoring at scale. You will work within our international ML group to build AI models using vast data and cloud resources, aimed at improving quality control of fresh produce and operational insight.

You will publish, mentor interns, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust research, design experiments, compare models,

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research background with strong publication record.
• Experience designing state-of-the-art deep learning models for CV.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java and Unix/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable machine learning and computer vision solutions for the fresh monitoring system.
• Analyze large datasets to automate and enhance content.
• Design and evaluate generative AI models for business use cases.
• Communicate with stakeholders to align requirements.
• Conduct SOtA research and implement novel ML techniques.
• Mentor interns and junior scientists.
