Job summary

TPG Telecom is seeking an Application Security Analyst to ensure software is built to high security standards. You will collaborate with software, devops, and network engineers, project managers and business analysts to apply security controls across the Software Development Lifecycle.

In this role you will conduct secure code reviews, participate in threat modeling, and work with security teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Application Security team or as a software engineer transitioning to cybersecurity.
• Exposure to Java, JavaScript and Python and cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency in coding with Java, JavaScript or Python.
• Security certifications such as CSSLP, CISSP, CompTIA Security+ or OSWE are favoured but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the application security subject matter expert for software engineering teams.
• Assist in implementing and operating the application security control suite (SAST/DAST/SCA).
• Lead secure code reviews and advise on remediation of security issues.
• Collaborate with Red/Blue teams to identify vulnerabilities and promote secure design.
