Job summary

CHG-MERIDIAN in Sydney is seeking a seasoned People & Culture Business Partner to be the trusted local partner for managers and employees in ANZ and SEEA. You will blend hands-on HR support with strategy, ensuring compliant, efficient people processes while driving leadership, engagement and workforce planning.

You will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, payroll, changes, and exits, while advising managers on performance, engagement and employee relations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in HR/People & Culture as BP or Generalist
• Extensive HR operations experience including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Employee Relations, Talent Development, HR Analytics and HRIS
• Regional HR partnering experience with strong service orientation
• Knowledge of local labor law, policy application, compliance and confidentiality
• Manager advisory, communication, conflict handling and pragmatic problem solving in local situations
• Data literacy and ability to use HR reports for decision support

Responsibilities

• Act as the local P&C contact for ANZ + SEEA managers and employees
• Support local workforce planning, recruitment coordination, onboarding, payroll, probation follow-up, changes and exits
• Execute and coordinate administrative P&C tasks and HR system entries
• Advise and coach local managers on leadership, employee relations, performance and engagement
• Ensure compliant and consistent application of local labor law and policies
• Prepare local HR reports and support annual P&C cycles such as performance and salary reviews
• Foster health, safety and wellbeing programs in collaboration with local leaders
• Champion collaboration across global strategies and translate them for local implementation
• Advise on local talent market intelligence, compensation benchmarks and workforce planning
• Drive DEI in all people practices across organizational levels
