Primary focus

As a world leader in its field, Arup offers the full spectrum of groundwater, engineering geology, and contaminated land consulting services. Through consultation from early stages of design through to construction and operation, we are able to advise our clients on how to best identify opportunities and manage potential impacts and from an environmental and engineering perspective.

Responsibilities
  • Develop Client relationships and identify local and regional opportunities to secure Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, and Contaminated Land scopes.
  • Provide training and mentoring of team members, fostering of strong working relationships across Arup.
  • Manage communications with Client and the Project Engineer to understand the project requirements and set clear scopes and budgets for delivery.
  • You will need to take a longer‑term strategic view of the business to contribute to the development plan of Arup.
  • You will be responsible for executing responsibilities as outlined in Arup’s Quality Management System.
  • You will be required to represent Arup at internal and external meetings. This will involve meetings with clients in order to establish needs and liaise with authorities towards securing approvals for Client works.
Is this role right for you
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in hydrogeology and contaminated land within a consulting environment which may include: environmental planning / auditing, surface water / groundwater interaction, water quality, contaminated land, tunnelling and underground construction, natural resource management, construction phase services;
  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in geology, environmental science, civil engineering or similar area, with a post‑graduate qualification in hydrogeology;
  • Experience of leading teams on multi‑disciplinary projects
  • Ability to design and deliver hydrogeological analysis, contributing to the development of design solutions and environmental impact assessments for major and/or complex projects of relevant professional institutions / professional peer bodies.
  • Able to quickly develop successful client relationship
  • Able to provide excellent team leadership
