Job summary

Uniting Vic.Tas in Ivanhoe, VIC, is seeking an AOD Support Worker to assist clients toward their treatment plans within a 16-bed withdrawal facility. You will work with the Registered Nurse, cover a full rotating roster including night shifts, and help clients with daily living and program participation.

The role requires a health/welfare qualification, AOD credentials, and experience with AOD/mental health. Salary packaging benefits and SCHADS Level 3 apply.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in a health/welfare related discipline such as social work, psychology or health science
• A Certificate IV in AOD or completion of the AOD Core Competencies (or willingness to complete within first 24 months)
• Previous experience working with people with AOD and/or Mental Health issues
• Knowledge of screening, assessment and community-based treatment for clients with AOD and mental health issues
• Experience in developing individual treatment plans, post withdrawal and discharge planning

As an AOD Support Worker, you will actively support clients to achieve their individual treatment plans including drug withdrawal, in conjunction with the Registered Nurse at Curran Place, a 16 bed Adult and Mother Baby Withdrawal facility. You will be required to work a full rotating roster, including night shifts.

Your Skills And Experience

You will bring with you:
