Queensland Government's Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service in Rockhampton is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to deliver specialist clinical nursing care to clients with alcohol and other drug concerns. You will screen, assess, provide brief interventions and referrals within a multidisciplinary team, supporting clients and their families.
You will work under the Clinical Nurse Consultant and senior nursing team, applying evidence-based practice, promoting harm
Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drugs or Advanced Nursing Practice are desirable.
- Experience in AOD services would be an advantage, however training is provided.
Responsabilités
- Deliver specialist clinical nursing care to clients experiencing AOD concerns, including screening, assessment, brief intervention and referral.
- Apply clinical judgement and evidence-based practice with support from the Clinical Nurse Consultant and senior nursing team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, consumers, families and external agencies to coordinate care.
- Promote prevention, early intervention, health education and harm reduction strategies.
- Contribute to service improvement, research, education and professional development.
