Job summary

Cyrenian House is seeking an experienced AOD Case Manager to provide counselling, assessment, education and case management to young people at Momentum Queens Park and adults in the Community Care Unit at Orelia. The role requires sound clinical knowledge, youth/social work experience, and strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

This is a full-time position based in Western Australia with a salary in the advertised range and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

  • A degree in social, behavioural or health sciences or equivalent experience in the alcohol and drug sector.
  • Well demonstrated and well-developed assessment and counselling skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with consumers experiencing issues related to alcohol and other drug use.
  • Well-developed self-management skills to cope with difficult cases and manage stress.
  • Knowledge of services and community resources relevant to the needs of the consumer group
  • Experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated and well developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
  • Experience in delivering education and training programs to human service providers and community groups.
  • Full work rights, National Police Clearance, current First Aid Certificate, and full Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

The AOD Case Manager's role is to provide proficient, culturally secure counselling, assessment, education, case management and social support to young people within Momentum Queens Park (MQP) in addition to adults in the Community Care Unit in Orelia. The AOD Case Manager will also provide education and support to the clinical team in regard to alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues and information. The AOD Case Manager will possess a sound level of clinical knowledge and skills, experience in youth/social work, together with well-established work practices that exercise initiative and sound judgment. The AOD Case Manager will work collaboratively with all Momentum QP and Community Care Unit service partners.

Hours of Work:

Working full-time 76 hours per fortnight, this position is level 4/5 - $96,295 - $113,725 per annum (depending on experience) plus superannuation and salary packaging options available.
