Job summary

About the Role

This QLD Government Department is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to provide high-level administrative support to field staff based at a correctional centre in Maryborough. You'll be working in a secure environment, liaising with tradespeople and contractors and managing high volumes of data with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-volume data entry and analysis using Excel
  • Create work orders, compile reports, and assist with newsletters and fleet management
  • Liaise daily with tradespeople and contractors
  • Support office maintenance and general business support tasks
  • Maintain professionalism and contribute positively to team culture
What We're Looking For
  • Strong attention to detail and proven experience with high-volume data entry
  • Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel (mandatory)
  • A Corrective Services Security Clearance – Administrative Services or the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Previous experience working within a prison or correction centre is highly desirable
  • Experience liaising with contractors or tradespeople (highly desirable)
  • A proactive attitude and ability to manage tasks independently
