AECOM is seeking a Digital Director for Australia and New Zealand water to shape the future of our digital offering. You will drive digital and AI innovation, influence business decisions, and build capabilities across the ANZ region while collaborating with leaders globally.

Reporting to the ANZ Water Managing Director, you will blend strategic thinking with practical action to enable smarter ways of working, develop talent, and position AECOM at the forefront of water-sector digital

Job Description

Due to an internal move, AECOM's Water business is seeking an engaging and collaborative Digital Director to help shape the future of our Australia and New Zealand water digital offering.

Reporting to the ANZ Water Managing Director and partnering closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll play a strategic role in driving digital and AI innovation, influencing business decisions, and building the capabilities needed to solve some of the industry's most complex challenges.

This is a unique opportunity to expand your influence beyond individual projects, work alongside leaders locally and globally, and help define how AECOM's Water business evolves, grows and delivers value to clients through applied technologies. You'll combine strategic thinking with practical action, enabling smarter ways of working, developing future talent, and positioning AECOM at the forefront of digital transformation in the water sector.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering or consulting background, with practical expertise in digital, data and AI, and sound commercial judgement.


• Ability to analyse complex information, challenge assumptions and communicate clear recommendations to diverse stakeholders.


• Proven people leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and levels.


• Able to navigate complex challenges, exercise sound judgement, and adapt direction to a different approach as required.


• Strategic and curious mindset, with a focus on turning insights into practical outcomes and business value.


• Experience balancing long-term capability building with immediate client and operational priorities.

This position can be based from any of our major offices across Australia and New Zealand.
