Job summary

HSO Group is seeking a Solution Architect - Managed Services in Sydney to provide expert advisory and leadership for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across finance, supply chain, and operations. You’ll mentor consultants, shape best practices, and ensure solutions are practical and value-driven for complex customer environments.

The role focuses on strategic guidance, functional assurance, and transition of projects into Managed Services, with flexible hybrid work arrangements and ongoing

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in customer-facing environments.
• Strong functional expertise across finance, supply chain, or operational processes.
• Proven experience as a Senior Consultant, Lead Consultant, Solution Architect, or SME.
• Experience in Managed Services, application support, or live service environments.

The Opportunity

As a Solution Architect within our Managed Services team, you'll serve as a senior functional authority for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, supporting customers across finance, supply chain, and operational process areas. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions remain practical, sustainable, and aligned to business objectives.

This role goes beyond issue resolution. You'll provide strategic guidance, lead functional reviews, contribute to service improvements, and help shape best practices across our Managed Services practice. You'll also play a key part in mentoring consultants and uplifting capability across the team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Act as a senior functional authority within Managed Services for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Provide guidance and leadership on complex business process and support scenarios.
• Review and assure functional designs, configuration changes, and process improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis for major incidents, process breakdowns, and recurring issues.
• Work directly with customer stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Translate business requirements into practical, supportable solutions.
• Support service reviews, improvement planning, and customer roadmap discussions.
• Drive stability, scalability, and optimisation across customer business processes.
• Support the transition of solutions from project delivery into Managed Services.
• Mentor consultants and senior consultants through coaching, knowledge sharing, and quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to solution shaping, support estimates, and presales activities where required.

What You'll Bring

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in customer-facing environments.
• Strong functional expertise across finance, supply chain, or operational business processes.
• Proven experience operating as a Senior Consultant, Lead Consultant, Solution Architect, or subject matter expert.
• Experience supporting customers within Managed Services, application support, or live service environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience reviewing solutions and providing functional assurance and guidance.
• A passion for mentoring others and driving continuous improvement.
• Experience working across multiple customer environments will be highly regarded.
