Job summary

Medrecruit | Canberra invites applications from Anatomical Pathologists to join an established private pathology provider serving the Canberra region. The role covers routine and complex histopathology reporting across a broad general caseload, with opportunities in teaching and mentorship of registrars.

The successful candidate will hold FRCPA in Anatomical Pathology (or equivalent) and AHPRA registration or eligibility, with potential sponsorship where required.

Qualifications

• FRCPA in Anatomical Pathology, or equivalent.
• AHPRA registration or eligibility.
• Potential for Sponsorship if required.

Responsibilities

• Reporting routine and complex histopathology and cytology across a broad general caseload.
• Frozen sections (non-acute) and specimen triage.
• Clinical discussion with referrers and MDT participation.
• Teaching and mentoring registrars.
• Contribution to quality assurance, audit and accreditation.
• Shared 1:7 on-call roster (telephone advice only, generally until 9pm).
