Macquarie Group’s Banking Risk Advisory team in Sydney is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst to partner across our Banking and Financial Services ecosystem, delivering Operational Risk advice and driving risk initiatives.

You will lead projects such as Risk Control Self-Assessments, Data Under Governance, CPS230 and contribute to risk management, control creation, and monitoring across multiple product lines while collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Financial Services, Banking or Professional Services.
• Sound knowledge of core risk management practices and frameworks.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strategic problem-solving ability.
• Demonstrated ability to build and influence stakeholder relationships.

Responsabilités

• Provide Operational Risk advice and drive initiatives such as RCSA and the risk approval process.

Our Banking Risk Advisory team supports our entire Banking and Financial Services ecosystem in providing Operational Risk advice, driving risk initiatives and uplifting Risk and Control Management.

What role will you play?

As an Analyst/Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for partnering with our ecosystem to provide Operational Risk advice and drive initiatives such as Risk Control Self-Assessments, acting as risk lead on projects (e.g. Data Under Governance, CPS230) and the risk approval process.

In addition, you will be responsible for general Risk and Control Management including uplifts on new control creation and documentation, assessing risk ratings, advising on risk acceptances and reviewing and monitoring risk performance. You will be working closely with stakeholders of all levels, across various teams and product lines in Banking and Financial Services.
