Job summary

China Construction Bank Sydney is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join the Project Finance Team. You will support origination, execution, and portfolio management of project finance opportunities in a dynamic, deal-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has a tertiary qualification in business, accounting, or related fields, at least three years’ experience, strong financial modelling skills, and excellent attention to detail and communication.

Qualifications

• Hold a tertiary qualification in business, accounting, mathematics, or science.
• Have minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, commercial due diligence, legal, project finance, corporate or institutional lending, principal investment, ideally with a big accounting firm, commercial bank, investment fund or developer.
• Be experienced in financial modeling and high proficiency in numeracy.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
• Be self-driven and a fast learner, with the ability to perform under pressure and toward deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and gather market information on target industries, regulatory authorities, and project finance product.
• Conduct financial and credit analysis, operate financial models.
• Support senior team members in marketing and credit submissions, including preparing pitchbook preparation, credit papers, and help manage internal processes.
• Assist the periodic reviews of transactions and monitor credit risks.
• Support on general admin work of the team as required from time to time.

China Construction Bank is offering an exciting full time permanent role for an Analyst or Senior Analyst - Project Finance to join our well-established organisation as we continue to expand.

Job Purpose

As a member of the Project Finance Team, this role is integral to the development and management of project finance business. The role involves supporting all aspects of project finance transactions, including the origination, execution, and ongoing portfolio management of new project finance opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
