Dexus, a leading Australasian real asset group, is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst for its Alternative Investments team in Sydney. You will experience the full investment lifecycle across assets in living, healthcare, and data centres, supporting origination, structuring and execution of acquisitions and divestments.

The role emphasizes financial analysis, market-driven forecasting, and strategic asset management to maximise value and returns while collaborating across asset classes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in real estate, investment banking, management consulting, finance or similar with strong analytical focus.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking financial analysis, valuation, cash‑flow modelling, and development feasibilities to support acquisitions, divestments and investment management decisions.
• Transitioning acquired assets into the portfolio and assessing strategies to maximise returns across the hold period, through to divestment.
• Assisting with the preparation of Investment Committee reports and investor presentations.
• Contributing to the preparation of annual Investment Management business plans for each asset and manage budgets.

The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity exists for an individual that brings intellectual curiosity and drive to join Dexus’ Alternative Investments team as an Analyst or Senior Analyst (experience dependent). As an Analyst / Senior Analyst, Alternative Investments you will experience the full investment lifecycle for assets within Alternative Investments portfolio supporting origination, structuring and executing or acquisitions and divestments, and the strategy, operation and performance of the assets under management to maximise asset value and investment returns. This role includes assets and capital strategies across various classes, such as living, healthcare, and data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Undertaking financial analysis, valuation, cash‑flow modelling, and development feasibilities, ensuring accurate forecasts and market assumptions to support acquisitions, divestments and investment management decisions.
• Transitioning acquired assets into the portfolio and assess strategies to maximise returns across the hold period, through to divestment.
• Contributing to the preparation of annual Investment Management business plans for each asset and manage budgets.
• Assisting with the preparation of Investment Committee reports and investor presentations.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years’ experience in a real estate, investment banking, management consulting, finance or similar role with a strong analytical focus. Alongside your exceptional attention to detail and strong work ethic, you will showcase high level of analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills. Prior financial modelling skillset is highly advantageous as well as experience in debt and equity analytics.
