Job summary

Macquarie Group, within the Finance, People and Engagement function, supports independent valuation reviews of trading portfolios. You will analyze market movements, prepare reports, and collaborate with trading, risk and finance to improve valuation processes and controls.

The role emphasizes strong numerical skills, knowledge of financial markets, and proficiency in Excel with exposure to Power BI, VBA or Python. Hybrid/flexible working is available where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • A degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
  • A basic understanding of financial markets and products such as derivatives, commodities, bonds and equities
  • Good skills in Microsoft Excel, with exposure to tools such as Power BI, VBA or Python being beneficial
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

What role will you play?

In this role you will support independent valuation reviews across a range of financial instruments, helping ensure portfolios are valued accurately using market data and appropriate methods.
