Job summary

QIC is seeking an Analyst – Corporate Risk in Brisbane to join the Corporate Risk team. The role involves embedding the risk framework, supporting incidents, strengthening controls and contributing to risk reporting.

You will help develop dashboards and risk insights for senior stakeholders within a hybrid work environment at QIC. You’ll bring experience across risk and controls, governance or internal risk operations, with comfort in data and reporting and familiarity with Power BI and GRC

Qualifications

• Experience across risk consulting, internal audit, risk and controls, governance or an in-house risk environment.
• Exposure to incident management, risk issues, controls, governance or risk reporting.
• Comfort working with data and reporting; Power BI and GRC systems highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of operational risk management processes across the business.
• Monitor operational risk incidents, issues and breaches, tracking actions to resolution.
• Prepare and contribute to risk reporting, dashboards and insights for senior stakeholders and committees.
• Support risk systems, data quality, reporting, testing and system administration.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of enterprise and operational risk policies and controls.
• Coordinate activities across internal audit, controls reporting, business continuity and risk initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of operational risk management processes across the business.

• Support risk systems, data quality, reporting, testing and ongoing system administration.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise and operational risk policies, standards and controls.
• Coordinate activities across internal audit, controls reporting, business continuity and broader corporate risk initiatives.

About you

You’ll bring experience across risk consulting, internal audit, risk and controls, governance or an in-house operational/corporate risk environment.

You’ll also bring:

• A sound understanding of operational risk, controls and the role of a second-line risk function.
• Exposure to incident management, risk issues, controls, governance or risk reporting.
• Confidence working with data and reporting, with exposure to Power BI and GRC systems highly regarded.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to keep actions and deliverables moving.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the confidence to build relationships across different areas of the business.
• A proactive approach, the right attitude and drive to take ownership and get things done.
• Curiosity and a genuine willingness to continue learning and developing your risk capability.
