Qualifications

• 2.5–6 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity or direct investments.
• Outstanding financial modelling, analytical and commercial capabilities from complex M&A deals.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law or related discipline with strong academics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and originate private equity investment opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.
• Lead financial analysis, valuation and complex financial modelling for prospective and existing investments.
• Execute transactions including due diligence, management of external advisers, negotiation support and transaction structuring.
• Prepare investment committee papers, strategic analyses and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams to support strategic initiatives and value creation.
• Monitor existing investments and identify opportunities to enhance long-term enterprise value.

The Sydney team focuses on large-cap investment opportunities across Australia and New Zealand, partnering with management teams to acquire market-leading businesses. Working as part of a high-performing team with significant global resources, this role offers exceptional exposure across the full investment lifecycle and direct interaction with senior investment professionals both locally and internationally.

Candidate Profile

• ~2.5-6 years of professional experience, from either investment banking or private equity / direct investment
• Outstanding financial modelling, analytical and commercial capabilities developed through complex M&A transactions
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills;
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law or a related discipline with a strong academic record.
