Job summary

HealthX is offering a contract role for a Travel Anaesthetic / PACU Registered Nurse based in Grafton or Lismore, NSW. You will provide perioperative nursing care in anaesthetic and PACU settings, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and quality across the patient journey.

This 6-week (min) contract offers competitive hourly rates up to AU$68, travel and accommodation support, and the chance to gain regional experience in Northern NSW.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Recent anaesthetic and PACU nursing experience.
• ALS certification desirable.
• Australian working rights (contract role – no sponsorship).
• Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care within Anaesthetic and PACU settings.
• Assist anaesthetists during induction, maintenance, and emergence of anaesthesia.
• Monitor and assess patients during post-operative recovery.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and emergency situations.
• Administer medications and manage post-operative pain in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and perioperative best-practice guidelines.
