Qualifications

• Solid experience in Anaesthetic nursing within a surgical hospital setting.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
• Strong time management, organisational, leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in our hospital’s specialties is desirable.
• Experience in a fast-paced day/short stay hospital environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based care: monitor patient wellbeing and administer safe, high-quality treatment tailored to each stage of their hospital stay.
• Prepare for safe surgery: ensure facility, equipment and clinical environment are ready for safe, efficient surgical care.
• Prioritise and monitor patient safety: maintain clear team communication, assess progress, respond promptly to changes or complications.
• Support recovery at home: provide education and guidance for post-discharge recovery.
• Guide and support colleagues: supervise and support on-shift staff fostering teamwork and safe practice.
• Champion improvement: promote continuous improvement and safety across hospital operations.
