Nexia Sydney is seeking an ambitious Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Advisory team. You will work with a wide range of clients and develop your expertise across business services.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Australian Chartered Accounting firm.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Currently studying or completed postgraduate studies (CA program).
• Experience using APS, MYOB and cloud-based tools (Xero, QuickBooks).
• Enthusiastic team player with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and supporting schedules to review stage.
• Assist with statutory compliance work, including company secretarial requirements and various entity types.
• Support business consulting by understanding client needs and identifying opportunities for improvements.
• Assist with year-end tax planning with client performance analysis.
• Prepare management accounts to review stage.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication.
• Manage workflow, including record keeping, timesheets and budgets.
• Assist junior team members and contribute to team meetings and firm initiatives.
• Complete administrative and ad hoc tasks as required.
