Freedom Retractable Screens Victoria in Carrum Downs is looking for an Aluminium Saw Operator & Factory Hand to join our small factory team. You will read job sheets, cut aluminium extrusion to length and prepare parts for assembly.

We train you if you have not run an aluminium saw before and emphasise accuracy, safety, and attention to detail. This is a full-time or casual role with regular hours (8am–4pm) and overtime opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Accurate measuring and checking before cut.
• Guarding and hearing protection every time while operating saws.
• Reading measurements and job sheets accurately.
• Attention to detail and flagting bad cuts.
• Able to stand for long periods and handle long extrusion lengths.

Responsabilités

• Read job sheets and cut aluminium extrusion to length from stock.
• Set up and run production saws and keep them cutting clean.
• Check each cut for length, square, and burrs before moving on.
• Deburr, drill and prep parts as needed.
• Handle powder-coated profiles without marking finish.
• Sort, label and stage cut parts by job for assembly.
• Maintain saw area, offcuts and stock racks; flag low stock early.
• Unload extrusion deliveries and rack stock.
• Assist across the floor with assembly when saws are quiet.
