Job summary

BlueCare Cairns Community Care is seeking an Allied Health Assistant on a permanent part-time basis. You will support Allied Health Professionals, help deliver client care, and assist with program delivery across home, community centres, or clinics.

Role encompasses administration, equipment prep, and liaison with clinicians. Applicants should have Cert III/IV in Allied Health Assistance and current Australian driver’s license; massage qualifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Cert III, Cert IV or equivalent in Allied Health Assistance - essential
• Massage qualifications (or willing to acquire) highly desirable
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
• Understanding of client-centred care for long-term conditions, aged and disabilities
• Good time management and ability to prioritise workloads
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops
• Current Australian driver's licence and roadworthy vehicle - essential

Responsibilities

• Provide quality client care under clinical supervision of an Allied Health Professional
• Assist in implementing client care plans and programmes (individualised and group)
• Identify and report client circumstances needing input from Allied Health Professionals
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of equipment and resources for services & programme delivery; monitor, order and distribute office supplies
• Provide administrative support as requested
• Address enquiries effectively and coordinate messages to relevant staff
