Job summary

Airbus Australia Pacific is seeking an Aircraft Surface Finisher to join the Richmond Maintenance team, working on C-130J Hercules components. The role focuses on painting and surface finishing of both composite and metallic parts, with responsibilities spanning repairs or modifications as needed.

Ideal candidates will be organized, eager to learn, and capable of adapting to industry standards and procedures. Australian Baseline Security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aircraft Surface Finisher or equivalent is required.
• Experience painting composite and metallic aircraft and components.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance preferred; equivalent industry painting experience considered.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
• Good hand skills with materials and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform aviation painting activities for composite and metallic components.
• Support surface finish work on components and advanced structural repairs.
• Assist with aircraft or component repairs or modifications as required.
