Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia invites applications for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join the MRO Services Capability in Oakey, Queensland. You will perform maintenance, servicing, inspections, testing and fault-finding on aircraft systems, and work with the MRO team to ensure tasks are completed safely and to DASR Part 145 MOE standards.

You should have Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical), be an Australian citizen, and hold a current driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) is required for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer role.
• Australian citizenship is required to meet Defence security requirements.
• Current driver's licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with MRO team to ensure efficient task completion.
• Ensure compliance with DASR Part 145 MOE regulations.
• Foster effective communication with Boeing, customers, and industry teams.
• Ensure QA procedures, maintenance/modification operating procedures, and documentation are followed.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward Environmental Health & Safety and personnel well-being.

The Opportunity

Join our team at BDA's Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services Capability as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.

We're looking for a skilled, driven individual to join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) program at Swartz Barracks, Oakey, Queensland, to help keep these aircraft mission ready. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you'll be hands‑on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing and fault‑finding on aircraft systems. You will be:

• Collaborating with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion,
• Ensuring compliance within the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations.
• Fostering effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
• Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices.
• Embrace a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritizing the well‑being of all personnel.

What You Will Bring To BDA

As an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills ( Mechanical)
• Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
• Hold a current driver's licence.

Desirable

• Previous experience working with Military aircraft.
• Hold a CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence
