Job summary

The Australian Defence Force is seeking qualified plumbers to join its specialist Airfield Engineering and maintenance teams. Successful applicants will hold a Certificate III in Plumbing, a current open plumber and drainer licence, and meet Year 10 English and Maths requirements.

A commitment to fitness standards is also part of the selection process. Training will include an 11‑week Air Force Recruit Course at RAAF Base Wagga, followed by Initial Employment Training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate III in Plumbing with Water, Sanitary and Drainage streams.
• Current open plumber and drainer licence issued by a state/territory authority.
• Passes in Year 10 English and Maths are required.
• Minimum 12 months trade work post-qualification.
