Job summary

Bridge IT Engineering seeks an experienced AI Solutions Engineer in Queensland to drive adoption of AI for a Queensland Government Department. The role is hands-on, moving AI ideas from intake to proof of concept and into a production-ready handover, with a focus on solution engineering, integration and assurance.

You will design and release AI agents, build connectors and orchestration, and ensure governance, security, and successful evaluation criteria across the solution lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Delivery of LLM-based solutions into pilot or production in an enterprise/government environment.
• Experience delivering multi-step agents or retrieval-grounded assistants used by real users.
• Practical build experience across Copilot Studio, Power Platform and Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility.
• Experience with SharePoint or Graph connectors and environment configuration.
• Strong retrieval architecture experience including embeddings, vector and hybrid search.
• Identity and permission design experience using Microsoft Entra ID.
• Knowledge of Purview sensitivity labelling and data loss prevention in AI exposure.
• Experience evaluating AI systems with measurable success criteria and release gates.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and release AI agents and retrieval-grounded assistants on approved platforms.
• Develop connectors, multi-step orchestration and human handoff workflows.
• Build retrieval-grounded solutions across departmental content.
• Define source selection, chunking and indexing strategy and grounding controls.
• Take proofs of concept into a production state with ownership, monitoring and support model.
• Integrate AI capability into departmental systems and data sources via APIs and data flows.
• Design identity and data-protection controls with least privilege and oversharing safeguards.
• Define and run AI solution evaluation including prompt-injection testing and release gates.
• Author technical assurance artefacts such as FAIRA/FAIRA Lite and privacy assessments.
