Job summary

Aurec Human Capital Group is seeking a senior AI governance specialist to lead enterprise-level AI governance, security controls, and risk management within a Federal Government context in Canberra. You will design and implement controls across Microsoft 365, Purview, DLP, Defender, and Copilot environments.

The role requires conducting AI risk assessments, staying ahead of emerging threats, and advising executives and policy authorities to align AI capabilities with strategic and compliance

Qualifications

Experience in AI governance and technology risk management.
Proven track record in cyber security controls for large enterprises.
Strong understanding of Australian Government standards and international frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of enterprise AI governance and security standards.
Design and maintain AI-related controls across M365, Purview, DLP, Defender, Copilot.
Conduct AI risk assessments and evaluate threat vectors (prompt injection, data leakage, model manipulation).
Provide guidance to executive stakeholders to align AI capabilities with strategy and compliance.
Engage with cross-functional teams to translate technical concepts into actionable controls.
