Hydrogen Group is partnering with a leading Australian digital organisation to recruit an AI Business Analyst for a major transformation program in Sydney. The role goes beyond traditional BA duties, focusing on AI-generated data, insights, and outputs, with Claude and GenAI tools shaping requirements and delivery.

You will bridge business problems, data and technology in a modern delivery setting, validate AI outputs, and work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, QA and Data teams to

Qualifications

• Strong Business Analysis experience within digital, technology or transformation environments.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools such as Claude as part of BA workflow.
• Experience interpreting and working with AI-generated data, analysis or insights.
• Understanding of incorporating AI into requirements, process design and solutions.
• Able to challenge AI-generated outputs with human judgement.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, Architects and Data teams.
• Technical literacy including APIs, integrations, data, and modern digital platforms.
• Curious and adaptable, interested in AI's impact on BA role.
• Retail, eCommerce or large-scale digital platform exposure is highly regarded.

AI Business Analyst - Digital & Technology

Contract | Sydney | Hybrid

• We are partnering with a leading Australian digital organisation looking for an AI Business Analyst to join a major transformation program.
• This is not a traditional BA role focused purely on requirements gathering and process mapping. We're looking for someone who understands how the BA role is evolving with AI and has genuine experience working with AI-generated data, insights and outputs, using tools such as Claude to accelerate and improve analysis and requirements development.

Role

• Working within a modern, cross-functional delivery environment, you will help bridge business problems, data and technology while using AI as part of your day-to-day BA toolkit.
• Use Claude and other GenAI tools to support requirements development, analysis, documentation, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Interpret and critically assess data, insights and outputs produced by AI models and tools, translating these into meaningful business and delivery outcomes.
• Work with AI-generated outputs rather than simply accepting them - validating, challenging and understanding what the data is telling you.

Skillset

• Strong Business Analysis experience within digital, technology or transformation environments.
• Genuine hands-on experience using Generative AI tools such as Claude as part of your BA workflow.
• Experience interpreting and working with AI-generated data, analysis or insights.
• An understanding of how AI can be incorporated into requirements, process design and solution development.
• Comfortable challenging AI-generated outputs and applying human judgement rather than treating AI as simply an automation tool.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, Architects and Data teams.
• Strong technical literacy, ideally including exposure to APIs, integrations, data and modern digital platforms.
• Curious, adaptable and genuinely interested in how AI is changing the role of the Business Analyst.
• Retail, eCommerce or large-scale digital platform experience would be highly regarded.
