Job summary

Acusensus Australia is seeking an AI Architect to ensure secure, scalable AI tools and automations. You will bridge business needs with engineering, architecting multi-agent AI solutions and driving governance across data handling and access controls.

You will review tools, advise on patterns, and collaborate with the CTO's team to ensure enterprise readiness and compliance with internal policies and external standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building multi-agent bots or AI solutions using LLM APIs, automation platforms or ML frameworks.
• Solid grounding in software architecture, API design and enterprise integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity as it applies to AI, including data privacy, prompt injection and access controls.
• Experience reviewing and guiding work from non-technical colleagues.
• Familiarity with cloud AI services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or at least 5 years of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review AI tools, automations and agents and advise on architecture and integration patterns.
• Assess security and data governance risks for AI solutions.
• Connect AI tools to internal systems with CTO's team to avoid shadow-IT silos.
• Troubleshoot hands-on and uplift internal tools to enterprise standard.
• Document tools and ensure transferability when roles change.
• Maintain central register of AI tools mapped to ISO 27001 controls.
• Run vendor and DPA assessment processes with General Counsel.
• Provide technical risk input to Legal AI policies and incident response.

The Opportunity

AI adoption is strong at Acusensus, and the team is experimenting with building tools, automations and agents. As our AI Architect, you'll make sure those solutions are secure, connected, documented and built to last. You'll be the bridge between what the business needs and what good engineering looks like.

What you'll do:

• Review AI tools, automations and agents built by employees, and advise on architecture, model and tool selection, and integration patterns
• Assess solutions for security and data governance risk, including data handling, access controls and third-party exposure
• Connect AI solutions to internal systems and data sources, working with the CTO's team to avoid shadow-IT silos
• Troubleshoot hands-on when colleagues get stuck, and lift existing internal tools to enterprise standard (secure, scalable, maintainable and monitored)
• Ensure employee-built tools are documented and transferable so they keep running when people change roles
• Own and maintain the central register of AI tools and agents, mapped to ISO 27001 controls
• Run a repeatable process for assessing AI vendors and data processing agreements, developed jointly with General Counsel
• Provide technical risk input to Legal's AI policies, support incident response, and drive remediation plans when a tool falls short of the standard

About You

You're a technically rigorous AI builder who loves making complex things simple for others, and who knows when good enough is good enough.

You'll bring:

• Hands-on experience building multi-agent bots or AI solutions using LLM APIs, automation platforms (such as n8n, Make or Power Automate) or ML frameworks
• A solid grounding in software architecture, API design and enterprise integration patterns
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity as it applies to AI, including data privacy, prompt injection and access controls
• Experience reviewing and guiding work from non-technical or less experienced colleagues
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP and their AI/ML services
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field, or at least 5 years of equivalent experience

• Experience with data governance frameworks and responsible AI principles is highly regarded.
• Exposure to OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS or NIST AI RMF is highly regarded.

Good to know

This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne or Sydney. Because we operate globally, you may occasionally work early mornings, evenings or weekends, and travel nationally at short notice. The role requires police and driving history checks.
