Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Driver/AGI operator based at the Margaret River Concrete Plant. Expect long days with 50–55 hours weekly, including penalties after overtime. You’ll interact with diverse customers and uphold a professional vehicle image as a mobile ambassador for our global brand.

Training is provided via a 10-day program before operating independently, with occasional batching duties as required. A competitive hourly rate applies, with uniforms and PPE supplied.

Qualifications

• HR license (essential) with previous driving experience preferred.
• Enjoy meeting people and having chats onsite.
• Prefer variety; no two days the same when driving AGI trucks.
• Pride in the truck appearance; mobile billboard for the company.

Responsibilities

• Drive Agi trucks from Margaret River Plant and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Interact with customers daily and map routes while loading loads.
• Possibly participate in occasional concrete batching and complete duties during training.

About the role:

Rates: $35.74ph plus penalties (rate X 1.5 after 8 hours, rate X 2.0 after 10 hours). You will be based at Margaret River Concrete Plant. Most days will start at 7am-3pm and drivers can do up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 50 - 55 hours per week. As we mentioned, driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day, so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you haven't met before

We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loads All new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose byyourself. Occasional concrete batching when required.

About you:

• Minimum of HR license (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred)
• You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when you're onsite
• You prefer variety in your working life. No two days are ever the same when you're driving one of our Agi trucks
• You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials sites)
