Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Agitator Driver to transport concrete to construction sites across Tasmania. You will operate concrete agitator trucks, perform pre/post-trip checks, and maintain delivery records while complying with OHS policies.

The role requires an HR/HC license, safe driving history, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of local roads and site access is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Valid Australian HR or HC license with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles, preferably concrete agitators.
• Strong commitment to safety and understanding of OHS regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of local road networks and construction sites is highly regarded.

• Load and unload concrete at batching plants and construction sites, following established procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including docket information, quantities, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, batch plant operators, and site personnel.
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the agitator truck.
• Adhere to all OHS policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Assist with minor on-site troubleshooting as required.
