About the role

We’re searching for experienced and compassionate Home Care Support Workers to assist older clients in the community. You’ll play a key role in helping clients remain independent in their own homes, supporting their dignity, safety, and quality of life. We have shifts available based on client demand, Monday – Friday, 6am – 6pm.

Duties will include :
  • Providing personal care support such as showering, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Supporting with meal preparation, household cleaning, laundry, and ironing
  • Assisting with shopping, medical appointments, and social outings
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in a client’s health or behaviour, escalating concerns to ensure safety
  • Delivering care in line with individual Care Plans and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Travelling between client homes within your local service area including Hurstville, Kogarah, Arncliffe, Menai, Illawong and surrounds
Skills and Requirements
  • Current driver’s licence and reliable car with comprehensive insurance
  • Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Aged Care , Home Care, Disability, or related field
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Clear verbal communication skills to engage effectively with older clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
  • Flexibility in hours and approach, with availability aligned to client needs
  • Ability to review and accurately document care plans
  • Experience using mobility aids and assisting with client hoisting (advantageous)
