Job summary

Montefiore is seeking an experienced Music Therapist to join our aged care team on a permanent part-time basis in Sydney. The role focuses on developing evidence-based music therapy programs for residents and delivering individual and group sessions.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Creative Therapies with postgraduate music therapy studies, demonstrated music performance across at least two instruments, and strong communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration within our

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Creative Therapies with postgraduate studies in Music Therapy.
• Music therapy delivery and program design experience.
• Competence in playing at least two instruments and related interventions.
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Continue and enhance evidence-based music therapy programs for residents in aged care.
• Deliver individual and group music therapy sessions.
• Support residents to develop music confidence and maintain skills.
• Maintain documentation and record keeping.
