Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland's St Anne's Residential Aged Care Home in Broken Hill is seeking a creative Lifestyle Coordinator to design and implement engaging Leisure and Health activities that support residents' psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive and physical wellbeing. You will work with a caring team to tailor programs to individual interests.

The role requires hands-on involvement, collaboration with volunteers and staff, and a proactive approach to developing

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or equivalent (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a similar lifestyle role.
  • Knowledge of aged care and residents' rights and responsibilities.
  • Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to caring for older people.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individual Diversional Therapy Plans including Leisure and Lifestyle programs.
  • Assess residents' needs and interests to develop personalised plans.
  • Trial new developments and innovative approaches to Leisure & Lifestyle programs.
  • Continually evaluate plans and incorporate new approaches and strategies.
  • Lead involvement of volunteers and staff in Leisure & Lifestyle activities.
