Job summary

VMCH is seeking a Casual Laundry Services Assistant in Greenvale to support residents with daily living activities. You will work as part of a friendly team, focusing on laundry duties including washing, drying and distribution of clothing and linen.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, self-motivated and compassionate, with experience in commercial laundry or health care settings. Proof of work rights will be required. Applications close Aug 22, 2026.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills with compassionate communication.
• Strong initiative and ability to work without supervision.
• Experience in commercial laundry and/or health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry and distribute clothing/linen.
• Maintain adequate stocks of supplies at all times.
• Ensure chemicals are available for washing and correct wash cycles are used.
• Handle heavily soiled items following Infection Control Procedures.
