Job summary

Life Without Barriers on the Mornington Peninsula is seeking an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant (Female) to provide personalised home care to older Australians. The role involves traveling between clients to support daily living activities, with shifts 7am-7pm, Monday to Friday, and casual hours.

You will assist with domestic tasks, personal care, and accompany clients to appointments, while building trusting relationships with families.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or Ageing Support required.
• Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification required.

About the Role

As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised home care support to older Australians on the Mornington Peninsula so they can continue living independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients’ homes to support multiple people each day, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed $1.01 per KM travelled while you are working).

We have a Casual opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and no evening or overnight shifts. Skills & Experience

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similar
• An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
• Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
