Life Without Barriers is seeking an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant to provide personalised in-home care for older Australians in Ipswich and surrounding areas. You will travel between clients’ homes, supporting multiple people daily, with a casual, part-time schedule and KM reimbursement for travel.

The role offers 15 hours per fortnight, shifts from 8:30am to 7:00pm, Monday to Friday, no evenings or overnights.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support / Ageing Support required.
• Australian Driver’s Licence with a reliable vehicle and third-party insurance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification required before employment.
• Pre-employment checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Aged Care Statutory Declaration.

Responsabilités

About the Role

As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised home care support to older Australians inIpswichto allow them to continue living independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients’ homes between Anstead to Ipswich supporting multiple people each day, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed $1.01c per KM travelled while you are working).

We have a permanent part-time opportunity of 15 hours per fortnight, with shifts available between 8:30am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday. There are no evening or overnight shifts.

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similar
• An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
• Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)

Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
