Job summary

BaptistCare NSW/ACT - Aged Care in Red Hill, ACT, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide high-level clinical support and leadership within the home.

You will lead care planning, mentor RNs and Enrolled Nurses, and contribute to quality improvement while specialising in areas such as palliative and dementia care.

Permanent part-time role (2 days per week) based in Red Hill with access to training programs and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least five years of clinical experience in aged care.
• Clinical leadership in an aged care setting.
• Understanding and application of adult learning principles.
• Postgraduate qualification in a specialized aged care area.
• Experience in dementia and/or palliative care is desirable.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents requiring clinical review and undertake assessments.
• Develop and implement care plans with the clinical team and residents.
• Provide education and mentoring to clinical staff.
• Support clinical incidents and deterioration with timely intervention.
• Lead quality improvement and documentation to support funding.
