Job summary

Childcare & Kindergarten in Indooroopilly (C&K Indooroopilly Community Kindergarten) is seeking a qualified educator for the Extended Hours Program, Monday–Friday 1.35pm–6pm. Additional hours available during school holidays, with a $1000 retention bonus paid twice yearly.

The role focuses on nurturing children's learning, partnering with a coordinator, and supporting growth as lifelong learners in a supportive, child-safe environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or current progress toward this qualification.
• Knowledge of Auslan (Australian Sign Language) highly desirable.
• Completion of National Child Safety Training – Foundation and Advanced Certificate (Courses 1 to 5).
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification (we will fund this).
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
• Police Check current within three months (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
• Collaborate with Extended Kindergarten Coordinator to extend learning beyond the kindergarten day.
• Contribute to a nurturing, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
