  • Play a key role in supporting the delivery of parliamentary support, management of incoming correspondence, including Parliamentary Questions on Notice and high-profile briefings
  • Be part of a dynamic team at the heart of government, working closely with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Ongoing Full-time, Clerk Grade 7/8 role base salary ($116,981 - $129,492 per annum) based in Martin Place
About the Role

The Advisor, (PMP) provides timely, high-level support to the Premier, Minister and Parliament team across daily operations, strategic project work and key initiatives, while fostering and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. The role ensures effective, accurate and timely advice, support and recommendations are provided to the Premier, supported portfolio Ministers and department Executive to facilitate informed decision‑making and the successful delivery of organisational priorities.

  • Parliamentary Coordination: Critically reviews, allocates, tracks, and monitors Parliamentary Questions to ensure accurate and timely responses across portfolio responsibilities.
  • Correspondence Management Systems: Administers and maintains correspondence management systems, including system testing, records and settings management, and ensuring templates, processes and information remain accurate and aligned with current requirements.
  • Quality Assurance and Team Support: Provides guidance, feedback, and operational support to ensure briefings, correspondence, and parliamentary materials are high quality, appropriately risk‑assessed, and delivered within required timeframes.
  • Performance Monitoring and Training: Reviews and reports on performance against ministerial correspondence targets and develops staff capability through training, advice and support on parliamentary, correspondence and briefing protocols and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Develops and maintains effective working relationships with ministerial offices, departmental stakeholders and parliamentary liaison networks to facilitate information exchange and the delivery of timely, accurate and high‑quality advice.
  • Policy, Compliance, and Information Governance: Coordinates information requests and contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of guidelines, processes, protocols, and intranet resources to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
