Your impact

In the position of Advisor, Materials – Off‑Site, you will provide specialist support across repairable materials management, ensuring parts and components are repaired, refurbished or replaced efficiently and cost‑effectively. You will manage vendor relationships, repair pipelines, warranties, and BER (Beyond Economical Repair) processes, maintain accurate technical documentation, and support continuous improvement across Newmont’s repairable materials program for Boddington’s supply chain operations.

As part of our team you will
  • Provide specialist support across repairable materials management, ensuring parts and components are repaired, refurbished or replaced efficiently and cost‑effectively.
  • Identify repairable items, develop standard repair specifications, and collaborate with engineers on technical scope and requirements.
  • Source and evaluate repair vendors, manage vendor performance (cost, quality, turnaround), establish inspection cycles, and maintain vendor performance metrics.
  • Assess items for repair or refurbishment, coordinate warranty processes and BER (Beyond Economical Repair) decisions, create work orders, and manage outbound repair documentation.
  • Review repair quotes and strip reports, ensuring compliance with cost criteria; manage re‑quotes or vendor changes and oversee procurement coordination.
  • Raise purchase orders and maintain quotes, MDRs (Manufacturer Data Reports), and all related documentation in accordance with Newmont standards.
  • Monitor vendor and process performance, identify opportunities for improvement, rationalise the vendor base, review technical non‑conformance reports, and support updates to contracts.
  • Act as the key link between engineering, maintenance, procurement, and repair vendors to ensure materials flow efficiently and meet operational readiness requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement through performance analysis, vendor rationalisation, process optimisation, and enhancement of repairable materials workflows.
Prerequisites for your success in the role
  • Background in planning / scheduling, engineering, trades, warehousing, or materials coordination (mining or heavy industry preferred).
  • Valid C Class driver’s licence is essential, with ad hoc vendor visits required.
  • Experience in procurement, contract / vendor management, or repairable asset management.
  • Knowledge of warranty processes, BER assessments, asset lifecycle, and repairable materials workflows.
  • Proficiency with SAP, CMS systems, and other asset / maintenance management tools.
  • Strong analytical capability for reviewing strip reports, quotes, NCRs, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and external vendors.

Newmont Boddington is a world‑class gold and copper operation located within the Saddleback greenstone belt in Western Australia, approximately 130 kilometres southeast of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural farming town of Boddington.

Situated on 33,000 hectares of land traditionally owned by the Wiilman people of the Noongar nation, Boddington is a drive‑in, drive‑out site that offers employees the opportunity to live locally or in Western Australia’s southwest.

This permanent position is based at Boddington on a 5 / 2 and 4 / 3 roster, working 8.9‑hour days.
