Job summary

Duratec's Northwest division is seeking experienced riggers and lifting specialists for multiple projects across the Pilbara. You will inspect, plan, and execute safe lifting, attach loads with slings and shackles, and coordinate with crane operators and doggers on site.

This FIFO role from Perth Airport offers a casual flat rate of $65 per hour. Required are a High Risk Work Licence (Rigging: Intermediate or Advanced), White Card, Police Check, and a proactive, safety‑driven mindset to maintain

Qualifications

High Risk Work Licence (Rigging: Intermediate or Advanced)
Happy to assist other trades on a regular basis
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the mining industry
Police Check (or ability to obtain one)
White card
Proactive, teamwork skills, and high safety standards

Responsibilities

Inspect, select, and install rigging gear and lifting equipment.
Plan and execute safe lifting and load movement operations.
Attach loads using slings, chains, shackles, spreader bars, and other lifting devices.
Direct crane operators and doggers during lifting activities.
Assemble and dismantle structural steel, conveyors, pipes, and mining plant equipment.
Conduct pre-start inspections and ensure lifting gear is maintained and compliant.
Work in accordance with site safety procedures, permits, and Australian standards
