Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, part of Metro North Health, seeks a permanent part-time physiotherapist to provide advanced musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis, multidisciplinary case management and clinical consultancy for complex patients referred to Specialist Outpatient services (Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Maxillofacial).

Qualifications

• Advanced-level musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and management for complex cases.
• Experience in orthopaedics, neurosurgery or maxillofacial outpatient settings.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and lead clinical consultation.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapy services in independent assessment, diagnosis, management and case management of clients referred to Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical (spinal) and Maxillo-Facial specialist outpatient clinics.
• Independently refer for diagnostic imaging procedures as required to support patient assessment and case management.
• Provide authoritative clinical counsel to stakeholders at facility and health service level regarding non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Act as a state-wide resource for clinical advice and consultation concerning screening services and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
• Provide clinical leadership in working cooperatively with and engaging in effective communications with clinical service providers, service managers, Team Leaders and patients.
