The Department of Health, Tasmania, seeks an Administrative Officer Band 3 to provide high-level administrative support within CHaPS. The role includes supervising staff, coordinating activities and handling confidential receptionist duties.
Permanent part-time position, 38 hours per fortnight, with pro rata salary and employee benefits such as salary packaging and professional development support.
The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) provide important health and wellbeing services to families across Tasmania with children aged 0 to 5. The service promotes the healthy development and wellbeing of children, providing growth and developmental assessments, health-focused early intervention, referrals and connections with other early childhood service providers.
The CHaPS deliver a screening and surveillance program offering Child Health Assessments at key developmental periods in a child’s life, enabling the early identification of concerns and early activation of intervention either by CHaPS or through a referral to an appropriate service.
The CHaPS employ an evidence-based approach to working with families which is founded upon a respect for and encouragement of the expertise and self-determination of parents.

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Additionally, it provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites.

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight (Job Share - 8:30am to 5:00pm, 5 days per fortnight), commencing as soon as possible.

$76849 to $82996 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
