Job summary

The SAFV Centre is seeking a part-time Administration/Reception role in Warrnambool to support client services across Barwon and surrounding regions.

You will provide front-line reception, handle inquiries, and assist with administrative tasks while collaborating with the team to ensure smooth service delivery and accurate records. A values-driven, client-centred approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated organisational ability and initiative to handle competing demands.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar reception/administrative role.
  • Strong communication skills and professional client engagement.
  • Proficient in computer skills with Microsoft Office and IT troubleshooting basics.
  • Excellent time management with attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team, with initiative for improvement.

Providing specialist sexual assault and family violence programs and services, including 24 hour crisis care support, case management, therapeutic counselling, early intervention and professional education and training, we continue to grow and develop our offerings.

About the Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre

We are a client-centred organisation, supporting the community throughout Barwon, Wimmera, and the South West regions, offering a range of specialist support services to people impacted by sexual and family violence, encompassing 24 hour crisis care, specialist response services, early intervention programs, Victims Assistance Program, Community Legal Services, trauma recovery programs, professional training and primary prevention initiatives.

About The Role

To assist in the provision of quality reception services and administrative tasks to support the efficient and effective delivery of The SAFV Centre services.

To contribute as an effective team member in the delivery of quality client services, and work collaboratively with all staff.

This role reports to the Administration Manager and is part of the Administration Team.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Your application must address the following:

  • Demonstrated organisational ability and initiative, including often working with competing demands.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role including reception and office administration.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience working as first point of contact, in a warm and professional manner to encourage engagement.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including use of programs such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Health Direct with ability to trouble shoot basic IT issues.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including high level attention to detail, ability to multi-task, accuracy and prioritisation.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • An interest in the development of information and promotional materials.
  • Initiative and openness to feedback with the ability to actively engage in continuous quality improvement strategies and developmental areas.
  • Ability to work in a changing environment.

Period of Appointment

This position is ongoing depending on funding.

Hours of work

The position is part time 0.8 FTE

Salary and Conditions

Annual salary range is as a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner classification, Level 4 Pay Point 1-4. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Industrial Instrument: The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement 2023.

Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia. PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a Public Benevolent Institution.

Superannuation: The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.

Probationary Period – 6 months with a review conducted during this time.
