Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice is recruiting an Administration Officer (Clerk 3/4) for the Francis Greenway Correctional Centre in Berkshire Park. The role forms part of a talent pool for ongoing or temporary positions with a full‑time arrangement.

You will provide general administrative support, manage records, prepare routine communications, and assist with financial and purchasing tasks. A NSW driver licence is required, and employees enjoy flexible, autonomous work arrangements

Talent Pool – Administration Officer (Clerk 3/4)

Location – Francis Greenway Correctional Centre, Berkshire Park

Employment type – Full Time, Talent Pool to fill future Ongoing or Temporary positions

Salary – Clerk Grade 3/4 - $87,199 - $95,48 (plus employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading)

Your role

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programmes to reduce reoffending and create safer communities. We house remand and sentenced inmates in correctional centres and supervise offenders serving orders in the community. CSNSW provides reports and advice to courts and releasing/parole authorities and assesses offenders in the community and in custody for relevant interventions to reduce their risks of reoffending. CSNSW works in partnership with other government and non-government justice and human services agencies to support victims, facilitate restorative justice and promote reintegration. The Administration Officer provides administrative and support services to facilitate the operation of the Corrective Servies Industry unit.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide general administrative support to help the team run smoothly, including managing records, preparing routine communications, and organising meetings and events.
  • Gather and organise information and prepare documents and correspondence that meet organisational standards to support communication and decision-making.
  • Process routine financial and purchasing tasks, following workplace policies and procedures.
  • Answer enquiries and, when needed, refer or escalates issues to the appropriate person to ensure accurate information is provided.
  • Keep records and databases up to date, ensuring information is accurate, stored correctly, and easy to access.
  • Be part of a high performing dynamic team who are very supportive and encouraging.

  • Use of business systems, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Teams, Pronto, EDRMS, SAP, Ellipse
  • Experience in office administration
  • Experience to address the Key Accountabilities and Focus Capabilities of the role
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role

A talent pool will be created for future ongoing and temporary roles and is valid for a period of up to 18 months. Priority will be given to filling the position in Berkshire Park.
