Spinner Medical Recruitment has secured a senior opportunity in Perth for a Consultant in Addiction Psychiatry to join a major mental health service. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality patient-centered care for detoxification in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will provide clinical leadership to nursing and medical staff, participate in teaching, research, and service-improvement initiatives, and support junior doctors.

Qualifications

• FRANZCP or UK training completed to satisfy accelerated pathways.
• Significant experience in addictions psychiatry.
• Experience in teaching, quality improvement, and clinical governance activities.

Responsabilités

• Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality psychiatric care.
• Oversee detoxification programmes in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide clinical leadership to nursing and medical staff.

This is an exciting chance to join a new project and team at a major Perth mental health service as a Consultant in Addiction Psychiatry.

Here, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality care.

As part of the integrated service, you will play a pivotal role in offering comprehensive, patient-centred care for patients. Your expertise will support patients undergoing detoxification, both in the inpatient and outpatient settings, and you will offer clinical leadership to nursing teams and other medical staff.

You’ll have the chance to educate and mentor junior doctors, participate in research, and contribute to service improvement initiatives. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for patient-centered care, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Selection criteria

FRANZCP or UK training completed to satisfy new accelerated and expedited pathways OR a substantial comparabiity outcome already granted by RANZCP. Significant experience in addictions psychiatry. Experience in teaching, quality improvement, and other clinical governance activities is also important.
