Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a Mental Health Clinician for the Acute Care Team in the Taree area. This permanent part-time role (24 hours per week) offers a collaborative, patient-centred environment across intake, early intervention and coordination of care, with opportunities for professional growth and development within NSW Health.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, recovery-focused care to adults and families in the community,

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of contemporary mental health service delivery, including intake processes and shared care models.
• Ability to build meaningful therapeutic relationships with consumers and families.
• Willingness to travel and drive in NSW and interstate as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mental health care across intake, early intervention, shared care coordination and trauma-informed practice.
• Build meaningful therapeutic relationships with consumers, families and carers.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver recovery-focused care.
• Support clinicians and contribute to professional development and continuous improvement.
