Job summary

Northern Beaches Community Mental Health Service in Brookvale is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join the Acute Care Team on a permanent full-time basis. The role provides nursing and health services within a multi-disciplinary community mental health setting, focusing on triage, assessment, treatment, case management and discharge planning.

You will work with a diverse team, contribute to high-quality care, and support individuals across the Northern Sydney Local Health District.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration for relevant discipline (e.g., Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy).
• Demonstrated mental health assessment and crisis intervention experience.
• Experience in community mental health and knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act.
• Extensive case management and care coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing and health services as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering triage, assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Deliver ongoing case management and collaborate with care teams.
• Support individuals in the Northern Sydney Local Health District across Community Mental Health services.
• Work to ensure culturally safe and person-centred care for diverse populations.
• Contribute to safety planning and crisis intervention when needed.
